We are CCH. With 14,000 colleagues across 32 care companies, we have one purpose: to make sure no one in need of care is ever forgotten or left behind. We’re not only changing lives, we’re transforming the care sector. Our people-first approach puts care professionals at the centre of everything we do. Our goal is simple: to be the best place to work in care.
What makes CCH a great place to work? The results speak for themselves:
At Independent Community Care Management (ICCM), part of CCH, we live by our values of Community, Courage, and Heart and we’re looking for like-minded people to join our growing Complex Care team in Kelsall.
What you’ll do
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will be part of a small, dedicated team supporting a cheerful, engaging young woman in her late 20s who lives in her beautifully adapted bungalow in Cheshire. She is a gentle, smiley, sensory-loving person with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex epilepsy. She uses a wheelchair and communicates non-verbally.
Working closely with her family and support team, you will help enable her to live a meaningful and fulfilling life while providing a consistently high standard of care in a friendly, positive environment.
She enjoys an active and varied weekly routine and has her own adapted vehicle for outings. Your role will include supporting her to access a range of community activities such as rebound therapy, visits to the zoo, local parks, and other attractions.
At home, you will help create enriching sensory experiences and support activities she enjoys, such as music therapy, physiotherapy, massage, foot spas, and spending time in the garden. You’ll also play an important role in encouraging and introducing new experiences to keep her days stimulating and enjoyable.
You will support her with all aspects of daily living, including:
Full training is provided, including specialist training from epilepsy nurses who oversee her clinical care. While experience supporting people with complex needs or an understanding of person-centred practice would be beneficial, the most important qualities are kindness, compassion, and the right values.
You will be part of a supportive team environment with ongoing supervision and guidance from an experienced care manager.
