Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and kind support worker to join our team and support a lovely young boy with complex needs in his school setting. He loves school, especially spending playtime with his cousin who attends the same school. Cars are his favourite toys, and he has an impressive knowledge and collection of them. He enjoys hugs and holding hands for reassurance.

Duties include:

• Tracheostomy care and suction
• Nebuliser and oxygen administration
• PEG feeding
• Assisting with personal care
• Monitoring medical needs

This lively boy communicates using a speech computer as well as head and hand gestures. He lives at home with his mum, dad, brother, and extended family.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

Experience with tracheotomy required . Previous experience in childcare would be preferable as well as plenty of care, compassion, and resilience.
